Hi, I like the idea of the American ‘Big Brother’ scheme were you spend a little time each week with a disadvantaged child, taking them out or showing them around your workplace etc etc.

What can I do that’s similar in the UK? Which charities are the most reputable? I am a 22 year old guy, currently half-way through RAF selection with time to kill and no brothers or sisters of my own.

Mine is product development, w/ 11-12 skills to develop & learn from my mentor (some skills I’ve already learned but would like to enhance). Part time thank you yes that is my down fall but my unique mentoring skills i have been there wore the tee shirt and what life skills i have can not be learnt in a text book or at university but you prefere some one very educated to teach your children but could they offer the real world life skills of some one who can actually empathise with them
and the young people i mentor are not intrested in P’s Q’s dear they have more issues than that and if you had children who needed help believe me you would be least concerned about correct grammer but by your atitude your children would not need mentoring as they should be perfect in behaviour as well as education thank you for your coment it is noted Dave
